Hannah-Bryck Puppies


November 9, 2013 - Hannah gave birth to three beautiful puppies.
Darker girl: 8 5/8 ounces
Boy: 7 7/8 ounces
Lighter girl: 8 ounces


1 day old: Everyone is doing great. The puppies are nursing eagerly and then sleeping.
Two of the puppies lost a little weight the first day, which happens more often than not.
Darker girl: 8 1/4 ounces
Boy: 8 ounces
Lighter girl: 7 3/4 ounces


2 days old: Big meal, a little cleanup, and now it's time for a nap.
Darker girl: 8 7/8 ounces
Boy: 8 3/8 ounces
Lighter girl: 8 1/8 ounces


3 days old: Hannah and her boy.
Hannah has really begun to bond with the puppies.
Darker girl: 9 3/4 ounces
Boy: 9 1/8 ounces
Lighter girl: 8 1/2 ounces


4 days old: The darker girl's mask extends all the way down her chest!
It will be interesting to see how her color develops as she grows.
Darker girl: 11 7/8 ounces
Boy: 10 3/4 ounces

5 days old: Dreaming I Can Fly!
Puppies are doing great, gaining weight, and crawling all around.
Today we got our first "puppy breath", and it is so sweet.
Darker girl: 13 1/2 ounces
Boy: 12 1/4 ounces
Lighter girl: 11 7/8 ounces


6 days old: Total contentment.
Darker girl: 15 ounces
Boy: 14 1/2 ounces
Lighter girl: 13 ounces


7 days old: Like mother, like daughter.
The puppies are right on track weight-wise, at double their birth weights in 1 week.
Darker girl: 16 3/4 ounces
Boy: 16 1/2 ounces
Lighter girl: 15 1/8 ounces


8 days old: Hannah is starting to take breaks away from the puppies when they're all sleeping,
but she always keeps a watchful eye.
Darker girl: 17 3/4 ounces
Boy: 17 1/2 ounces
Lighter girl: 15 3/4 ounces


9 days old: Plenty to eat!
Darker girl: 19 1/2 ounces
Boy: 19 ounces
Lighter girl: 17 ounces


10 days old: The eyes are just starting to open.
Darker girl: 21 1/4 ounces

Lighter girl: 18 1/4 ounces


11 days old: Eyes wide open!
Darker girl: 22 3/8 ounces
Boy: 21 1/4 ounces

13 days old: Fat puppies!
Darker girl: 24 5/8 ounces
Boy: 24 1/4 ounces
Lighter girl: 22 1/4 ounces

Two weeks old!


The boy: 1 pound 10 3/4 ounces


The darker girl: 1 pound 9 1/2 ounces


The lighter girl: 1 pound 7 3/4 ounces


16 days old: Yaaaaawwwwwnnn!!!


19 days old: Fat and happy.
Darker girl: 33 1/2 ounces
Boy: 34 3/4 ounces
Lighter girl: 30 1/2 ounces


Three weeks old: The puppies are becoming aware of the world around them,
interacting with each other, and starting to respond to sights and sounds.
Darker girl: 2 pounds 5 1/2 ounces
Boy: 2 pounds 8 1/4 ounces
Lighter girl: 2 pounds 2 3/8 ounces


Four weeks old: The lighter girl hangs out with mama after snacks. She is the most active and curious of the three.
She went from crawling to walking to running in a little more than a day, and she props herself up on the
side of her wading pool home to get a look at the world outside.
Darker girl: 2 pounds 14 ounces
Boy: 3 pounds 3 ounces
Lighter girl: 2 pounds 8 1/2 ounces


Five weeks old: The puppies are beginning to develop distinct personalities.
The boy on the left is very playful, and the only one who's showing an interest in toys.
The middle girl is the most affectionate. She loves being held, and giving kisses.
The girl on the right is the most active. She was the first to walk, and now she is running.


Six weeks old: Too much Christmas dinner!


8 weeks old: The lighter girl, aka Laratte. Weight: 4 lb 11 oz


8 weeks old: The darker girl, aka Russet. Weight: 5 lb 1 oz


8 weeks old: The boy, aka Yukon Gold. Weight: 5 lb 10 oz


10 weeks old: Laratte, Yukon, and Russett.


12 weeks old: Like mother, like daughter. Here's a comparison of Hannah (left) and her baby Russett (right) at
about the same age, 12 weeks. Russett has moved to her new home at Baohuao French Bulldogs.


14 weeks old: Yukon and Laratte take a break from playing keepaway with their new best friend Solo.


Four months old: As the days get longer, sunnier, and drier, Yukon and Gold Rush (aka Laratte)
are spending more time exploring our yard, seeing who can find the biggest stick to try to drag back into the house.
