18 days old: Days 17-19 are among the most fun to watch with a litter of puppies.
In just a few short days, they transition from crawling on their bellies, to
standing on all fours, to beginning to interact with each other. This litter began
walking about 36 hours ago, and the cream girl is already getting pretty good at it!

20 days old: These babies are getting big!

Three weeks old!

The cream boy weighs 2 pounds 3 ounces.

The brindle boy weighs 2 pounds, 2 ounces.

The cream girl weighs 2 pounds 3 ounces.

27 days old: The puppies are growing up quickly, showing new behavior
almost every day. Earlier in the week, they began playing with each other,
and today they started responding to our voices.

4 weeks old: And it looks like the puppies spent the whole night partying!
Cream boy: 2 pounds 10 3/4 ounces
Brindle boy: 2 pounds 9 ounces
Cream girl: 2 pounds 10 1/4 ounces

Mealtime! Lacy keeps a watchful eye as the puppies enjoy an "appetizer"
of puppy gruel. They just got their first taste of puppy food yesterday.

4 1/2 weeks old: Time for a bigger home! The puppies have outgrown their
little wading pool and will move to a bigger one today.

5 weeks old: Lots of changes in the last few days!
The puppies are holding their ears up quite often, and they're eating puppy gruel heartily.
They're getting quite playful with each other, and they respond to our voices.
Cream boy: 3 pounds 9 ounces
Brindle boy: 3 pounds 3 ounces
Cream girl: 3 pounds 4 1/2 ounces

The puppies graduated to a real dog bed today, and they're loving it.

Six weeks old!
Cream boy: 4 pounds 7 ounces
Brindle boy: 4 pounds 2 ounces
Cream girl: 3 pounds 15 ounces

Playtime!

Seven weeks old!
The puppies continue to mature nicely, and we're
beginning to see their individual personalities emerge.
The girl is on the left, and the two boys are on the right.
Cream boy: 5 pounds 5 ounces
Brindle boy: 5 pounds
Cream girl: 4 pounds 9 ounces

8 weeks old: Escapees! The puppies have gotten big enough to get out
of their 13 inch deep wading pool, and they're moving to a larger pen today.
And we've finally come up with tentative names for them!
Cream boy - Boomer: 6 pounds 6 ounces
Brindle boy - Bismarck: 5 pounds 14 ounces
Cream girl: Bailey: 5 pounds 5 ounces

Nine weeks old: The puppies are so active that it's hard to get them to stand still long enough for a picture!
Left: The cream girl, Bailey, is a real sweetheart, and the most people-oriented of the three.
Center: The brindle boy, Bizzy, wants to play with the adults on the other side of the exercise pen.
Right: The cream boy, Boomer, is determined to eat the airline crate, one bite at a time.

It may have been Father's Day, but the 9-1/2 week old puppies had a nice visit with their mother Lacy.

Ten weeks old: The puppies have moved out of their pen and into a bigger space and a bigger bed.
We were happy to see that they took it all in stride, and settled right into their new surroundings.
